Fondation Inalco
Fondation Inalco is a public-interest foundation supporting the development and global outreach of Inalco – the National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations, a unique French higher education and research institution founded in 1795, in the wake of the French Revolution, as part of a broader effort to open France to the languages and cultures of the world.
A renowned university located in Paris, welcoming 9,000 students from more than 120 nationalities, Inalco teaches 106 languages and studies over 400, many of which are rare or endangered. It is home to 14 research departments dedicated to area studies and language sciences and has served as a global hub for linguistic and cultural exchange for over two centuries.
By supporting Fondation Inalco, donors contribute to training globally engaged students and scholars who bring deep, contextual knowledge of the world’s linguistic and cultural diversity.
