JANUARY 6, 2026 -- Please see "Updates" tab for latest information. Although we reached our $60k goal between our Donorbox campaign and outside donations, this campaign will remain OPEN until we reach $60k here. We need funds constantly for food, medical care, supplies, sterilizations and more. Your ongoing support means we can keep providing our animals with everything they need to live happy and healthy lives. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far, and to all those who believe in this mission of helping the most vulnerable animals in need.

NOVEMBER 7, 2025 -- This may be our biggest task yet.
We have less than 60 days to raise $60,000 for food, medical care, vaccines, shelter supplies, sterilizations, and more for our rescued dogs and cats.
Since June, we’ve been facing closure of our rescue organization, yet the need for our work and the resulting expenses just keep growing. If we are going to be able to continue supporting our 800+ shelter animals, plus thousands more on the street, we need to secure this funding before the end of the year.
Failure is really NOT an option because there's SO many animals depending on us. We are asking for your help today, tomorrow, and throughout November and December to achieve this monumental goal.
Our budget for the remainder of 2025 sits at just over $60,000 for the following:
November + December Food Fund ($6,853) - This is the minimum amount currently needed for our November and December Food Funds after monthly subscription donations are applied. Food will always be our number one need, and our Food Fund only scratches the surface of the monthly cost for all our animals.
Venezuela Christmas Fund ($10,000) - This will supplement our December Food Fund for our rescuers in Venezuela. Businesses are closed Dec 20 - Jan 6 and our rescuers need to stock up on food and supplies. Fireworks go off all week between Christmas and New Year's, and sedatives are needed for the shelter animals.
Special Needs Fund ($12,000) - Our 50 special needs dogs in Turkey need daily supplies including diapers, pee pads, gloves, wipes, supplements, special food, and more. We also need 10 tons of firewood to heat the shelter during winter.
14+ Dogs with TVT Cancer ($12,600) - We have an epidemic in the area we work in Peru of street dogs with horrific cases of TVT cancer. With the large number of unsterilized street dogs, the transmission rate is out of control. The animals are suffering, and we need to help with both treatment and sterilizations.
Dog Houses and Sweaters ($3,000) - We need 37 Petizoo dog houses for our shelter in Peru. These ventilated houses will keep the dogs cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The shelter is in a moderate climate, but there is no heating or cooling in the building. We also need 65 winter sweaters for the dogs.
Unpublished Expenses ($3,383) - Our “Unpublished Expenses” are cases and everyday operational expenses not posted on social media. We help far more animals than we share online. Our current unpublished cases include Leito, Pepe, Ruth, Rafa, Rina, Oreo. Additional expenses include Suri's dental cleaning and miscellaneous shelter supplies.
Distemper Crisis ($6,850) - We have the Distemper virus in two shelters right now and expect it to enter others. It usually shows up in the spring, but we're seeing more and more cases amongst the street dogs NOW. We need vaccines, soroglobulin, Tempernag and additional supportive medications/supplements.
Spay and Neuters ($1,597) - We have an amazing sponsor who covered 465 spay and neuter surgeries between July and November, but we have a few more sterilization clinics that need funding before the end of the year.
Pico ($800) - Pico was found in the trash, bleeding and having horrible diarrhea. She is completely blind, her skin is infected, and she has a large tumor on her abdomen. She needs exams, blood work, skin and general health treatment, and tumor removal surgery.
Cabra ($900) - Cabra was run over on two separate occasions, and her owner kept her locked in a shed without treatment. We were able to negotiate her surrender, and Cabra now needs exams, x-rays, meds, and ultimately at least one fracture repair surgery.
Choco ($750) - Choco was found abandoned on the side of the road with a badly infected hind leg amputation. We are completely baffled, as Choco was clearly someone’s pet due to his cropped ears and docked tail. He has started antibiotics, but his incision site needs to be reopened and revised.
Ozzy ($672) - Ozzy has been hospitalized for the past month. He was abandoned at a shelter in Turkey in the middle of the night with severe burns all over his back. He is still recovering, but should be able to continue treatment outside the clinic beginning next week.
Gladwin ($600) - Karina was on her way to work and saw Gladwin laying on the side of the road. She stopped to check on him, and he could not get up. Gladwin needs exams and x-rays, and we suspect his spine is either broken or he has severe inflammation around the spinal column.
Please consider donating today so we can continue this vital rescue work.
