Goal

Dear friends and supporters,

In the coming weeks, I Am Next will welcome 25 new young people aging out of foster care to Greenview Apartments, bringing the total number of youth we support there to nearly 60 residents.

Many of these young people are arriving after experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or difficult transitional circumstances. For some, this will be the first time they have had a space that truly feels safe, stable, and their own.

Through our housing program, we are already providing core furnishings and necessities, including beds, furniture, and foundational household items. As we prepare for these move-ins, we are seeking additional support to help meet some of the personal and everyday needs that make a space feel more comfortable and welcoming.

We are currently collecting support for:
• New queen-size bedding sets
• Sheets, pillows, and blankets
• Toiletries and basic household items
• Walmart gift cards to help youth purchase personal items and everyday essentials

Financial donations help supplement move-in support and allow young people to pick out a few items that fit their personal needs and preferences as they settle into their new homes. Even small comforts can help create a greater sense of dignity, stability, and belonging during a major life transition.

We are also accepting new, unused in-kind donations. If you would like to purchase bedding or essentials you would want an 18-year-old beginning adulthood to have, we would be deeply grateful. Donations can be dropped off at Greenview Apartments, and we would be happy to provide a tour so you can see the impact of this community firsthand.

To coordinate donations or ask questions, please contact Katharine at katharine@iamnext.org.

Thank you for helping create a safe and dignified beginning for young people stepping into adulthood.

With gratitude,
I Am Next
