First Tee - Oakland
Our mission is not just a statement, but a beacon of hope for the community we serve. We aim to positively impact the lives of the under-served and under-resourced Oakland youth by providing educational programs that not only build character but also instill life-enhancing values and skills through the unique platform of golf.
First Tee – Oakland (FTO), a one-of-a-kind non-profit youth development organization, offers enrichment programs to Oakland youth enrolled in Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) after-school programs. Our unique approach involves using golf as a tool to instill life-enhancing values and skills. OUSD is an under-resourced public school district with 84 elementary, middle, and high schools. Eighty-nine percent (89%) of students are non-white, 72% receive free or reduced-price meals, and 32% are English Language Learners.
Your generous donation allows us to continue serving youth in Oakland free of charge!
We are humbled by and grateful for your support in this endeavor. Thank you for sharing our vision and our commitment to “helping kids stay on course”.
