Help us preserve our history and raise the money for a fire suppression system!

“An orange glow shows from the window. Soon, it radiates out another. And another. Before the neighbors can call 911 the entire library wing of the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum is engulfed in a roaring inferno spreading unimpeded into the main building. The fire department arrives in time to evacuate the block and save…almost nothing,” explains museum President, Del Phelps. “That is my biggest fear right now.”

Siuslaw Pioneer Museum is very excited to announce that the Mehlum Family Foundation and the Siuslaw Bank Community Fund would offer to pledge up to $20,000 as a dollar-to-dollar matching grant.

We invite the community to get behind this Artifact Preservation Initiative to help protect and preserve these priceless treasures.
