Goal
One in four women and one in seven men experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. Join us in helping survivors access the financial resources needed to permanently leave their harm doer.
FinAbility, an Oregon-based nonprofit, financially empowers survivors of domestic abuse. We build digital tools so survivors can access financial assessments, information about discretely opening bank accounts and securing identity documents, and learning material to develop healthy financial habits in a trauma-informed way.
Stacy Sawin is the founder and a survivor who drew inspiration from her experience and trauma to create something meaningful. FinAbility was built by survivors for survivors, with input from over 100 survivors and advocates. Your donation will directly impact survivors by allowing FinAbility to further develop its online safety tools and reach many more who need financial security. We plan to enhance our resources to combat the negative effects of domestic abuse and expand website functionality to include one-on-one financial counseling and access to personal finance training.
We hope that you join us in financially empowering survivors to live life permanently away from domestic abuse. Thank you for your support.
