MY ULTIMATE WHY:

As a 2nd year board member of Crayons2Calculators (C2C), a teacher, athletic coach, magnet coordinator, and a parent of 2 Durham Public Schools' graduates,  I have seen how important it is to balance the inequities for our students, teachers, and schools in our district by providing supplies and equipment to allow our schools to be successful. Over the years, my classrooms have benefited from supplies from C2C. Being a 27 year veteran in education has also given me the opportunity to see the babies that I have taught and coached over the years grow into successful adults, parents, and community members. Teachers make a tremendous impact on the lives of young people because 2 Teach is 2 Touch Lives 4 Ever! I truly believe that and I believe we all should fulfill a civic obligation of the African proverb "Each One Teach One". Please help donate to support my cause for C2C so that we can Each1Reach1!

Fill that Bus! is a community-wide school supply drive to help stock the shelves at Crayons2Calculators with the most needed classroom supplies. We directly equip Durham Public School teachers with the supplies they need to help reduce barriers to success for all students. Teachers never pay for supplies received from our programs. 

   How You Can Help: 

Financial contributions help us meet the changing needs of teachers throughout the year	Add our wish list items to your cart while shopping at Amazon, Walmart, or Crayola
Host a supply drive at your workplace  or with your community organization	Start your own giving campaign to ask your friends & family to join you in supporting local teachers

  The Impact: 

Together, we can help ensure all students have the supplies they need to be academically successful. Every year Crayons2Calculators distributes more than $100,000 of school supplies to local teachers. We proudly serve every school in Durham County providing classroom essentials ranging from pencils to notebooks, art supplies, paper and more.

• Need collection bins? Pick them up in the lobby of our warehouse starting on July 6. 
• Supplies can be dropped off at our warehouse at 808 Bacon Street, Durham NC 27703 from 11am - 3pm Monday through Thursday.
• Make sure to drop off collected supplies by August 31.
