Flex - Dance Saves

The Flex Dance Program Inc (FDP Inc.) is in its 11th year of operation, and currently consists of two formats: Flex IN which is the on-site dance and mentoring program provided in secure detention centers, foster care and other facilities in New York, and Flex OUT (Academy) which provides free dance workshops and events for youth in various neighbourhoods and globally through zoom. Flex OUT includes opportunities for paid youth internships and performances transforming public places through the arts. Our vision Flex WORLD is that all inner city kids have the opportunity to use their creative talents to express their story and inspire others to do the same.

Flex Hyperborealis (Flex Hype) is our main fundraiser event of the year to benefit the Flex Dance Program Inc. There are currently about 1000 - 5000 youth involved with detention  and foster care in NYC on a yearly basis. Our aim is to reach 1000 justice involved youth with our program FlexIN FlexOUT every year.

The New York City Flex Hyperborealis (Flex Hype) Production is a mythical tale of Apollo’s Journey through the art of Flex Dance featuring Flex Dance Program artists and youth. It is our aim to empower artists and pioneers to earn a living practicing and sharing their talents with the world while doing meaningful work.
