The Fruitful Community Foundation

The Fruitful Community Foundation is dedicated to teaching the next generation of eco-advocates and land stewards how to get involved in their local government and build climate solutions into local public policy. 

We envision a world where our public and private landscapes are in harmony with nature and where landscaping is a force of good that contributes to more beautiful, abundant, and sustainable cities and towns to live and thrive.

The Fruitful Community Foundation teaches about the importance of converting traditional landscapes into beautiful Productive Urban Landscapes, pollinator gardens, and food forests to help combat climate change. Our flagship GreenHive Leadership Program enrolls small cohorts of youth (10 to 12 high school and college students per cohort) to hear from and develop relationships with industry leaders and local politicians, cultivate leadership skills, learn about land stewardship and advocacy, and develop their own projects that positively impact their community. These Youth Leaders work with us to help teach their own communities about the importance of sustainable greenspaces in our communities and how we can all help make small changes with a big impact on climate solutions.
