Goal
You can not become what you do not see.
At the National Students Of Color STEM Initiative, we are currently working on a project that will increase equity, access, and equality of opportunity for kids that are politically less powerful and disadvantaged when it comes to careers and experiences in STEM. We are committed to lowering the barrier of entry into STEM for students of color.
The Fatherless boys STEM Mentoring project focuses on fatherless boys specifically in upper elementary and middle school in the Urban Core Rhode Island.
Our program gives these young boys an opportunity to see a different path. Our goal is to reach all 15000 fatherless boys in the Urban Core of Rhode Island with this program.
