Goal

On August 17, 2025, 15 amazing volunteers will run the iconic 7-mile course in Falmouth to raise much-needed funds for the Medway Village Food Pantry. All of the money raised will be used to purchase food, diapers, and personal care items

The Medway Village Food Pantry has experienced over 200% growth since 2020!  In 2024, we had 23,798 client visits - 71% are families with children. We are run 100% by volunteers, so with the exception of a few, small operating expenses, all of the funds will directly benefit the community and help us keep up with the demand.l

Hi, I’m Sarah Laudone, and I’m honored to be running my third Falmouth Road Race to support the Medway Village Food Pantry — a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. As a small business owner and a proud member of this community, I believe in stepping up to help our neighbors in need.

This race isn’t just about crossing a finish line — it’s about making a real difference in the lives of local families who are struggling with food insecurity. I’ve chosen to run for the Medway Village Food Pantry because of the incredible impact they make every single week.

In 2024 alone, the pantry served our community through 23,798 client visits, distributing more than 309,000 pounds of food, diapers, and household essentials. That’s a 200% increase in demand since 2020 — and the need keeps growing.

We are a 100% choice pantry, which means clients can shop for what they truly need: fresh produce, frozen meats, shelf-stable items, toiletries, menstrual products, diapers, and more. Even more amazing? The pantry is 100% volunteer-run, so every dollar donated goes directly to helping families — especially the 41% of clients who are children.

There are no government programs that cover basic necessities like diapers or menstrual products — yet these are critical for dignity and well-being. In 2024, the pantry distributed over 71,000 diapers.

As I train and run this year, I’m raising money to support this vital work. Any donation — big or small — is deeply appreciated and can go a long way toward helping end food insecurity right here in our community.

Thank you for supporting me, supporting the pantry, and most importantly — supporting our neighbors.
