Falmouth Road Race 2024

Hello, everyone!

I am excited to announce that I'll be running the Falmouth Road Race in support of a cause dear to my heart! Medway Village Food Pantry. Growing up, I was inspired by my father's decade-long dedication to volunteering at our local food pantry. His commitment to service and community instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility to give back. Being able to run along side other wonderful Medway community members is a real gift. Running has been my personal outlet for connection and grounding since college, and I firmly believe in the transformative power of community. 

As a resident and community-based social worker in Medway, MA, I've witnessed firsthand the increasing impact of food insecurity on our community. Did you know that in Massachusetts, 1 in 11 homes are affected by food insecurity? And it's not just food! The food pantry provides non-food items including toiletries deodorant toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo, toothbrushes toothpaste, hand wipes. Household items like laundry detergent, laundry powder and washing liquid, menstrual products, baby wipes and diapers. 

It's important to understand the critical importance of organizations like Medway Village Food Pantry in supporting our neighbors in need. By participating in the Falmouth Road Race, I aim to raise awareness and funds to ensure that everyone in our community has access to nutritious food.
