Falmouth Road Race 2024

I have been a Medway resident for 17 years and am still continuously impressed and inspired by the strength of character of the people that live in this great town.  This is a place where people make the effort to support each other, whether they are a neighbor, dear friend, or just a fellow human being.  An organization I have been so fortunate to become involved with, that is fully populated with people who exemplify the qualities I just mentioned, is the Medway Village Food Pantry.  Their mission of selfless giving and unquestioning support for every member of our community makes me incredibly proud to be able to represent them in the upcoming Falmouth Road Race.

The Medway Village Food Pantry has experienced exponential growth over the last two years.  In 2023, we had 24,176 client visits, up 43% from 2022, and our numbers grow every week. In the first two months of 2024, we had 4,611 client visits and served the most families ever in a single day in the 20 year history of the food pantry on the last Saturday in February. We are run 100% by volunteers, so with the exception of a few, small operating expenses, all of the funds will directly benefit the community and help us keep up with the demand.
