Goal
I am happy to announce that I will be running the Falmouth Road Race in support of the Medway Village Food Pantry!
My husband Jon and I have lived in Medway for the past 12 years have three daughters (ages 12, 9, and 7). I love Medway and am particularly proud of how our community supports each other in times of need. I’ve been impressed by the many who have dedicated their time and efforts to champion for great causes. I’ve cheered and supported others from the sidelines for years, but I’m ready to do more. I don’t like to put myself out there and I hate cardio, but when my good friend Moira Sharkey asked me to join the MVFP Falmouth Road Race fundraising team, I felt compelled to say “yes!”. I am excited to take on this challenge, support my community, and teach my daughters the importance of giving back and stepping out of your comfort zone.
So I’m lacing up my sneakers and joining 9 other Medway residents as we bring awareness to the food insecurity that exists right here in the town of Medway – a need that continues to grow!
Please consider joining me and supporting the Medway Village Food Pantry! Your donations will be used to purchase food, diapers, and personal items for those in need in our community. Thank you for your support!

On August 18, 2024, 10 amazing volunteers will run the iconic 7-mile course in Falmouth to raise much-needed funds for the Medway Village Food Pantry. All of the money raised will be used to purchase food, diapers, and personal care items.
The Medway Village Food Pantry has experienced exponential growth over the last two years. In 2023, we had 24,176 client visits, up 43% from 2022, and our numbers grow every week. In the first two months of 2024, we had 4,611 client visits and served the most families ever in a single day in the 20 year history of the food pantry on the last Saturday in February. We are run 100% by volunteers, so with the exception of a few, small operating expenses, all of the funds will directly benefit the community and help us keep up with the demand.
