About SAGE Studio & Gallery

SAGE Studio & Gallery is a non-profit art space in east Austin that provides artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities with the materials, space, and support to produce, exhibit, and sell their art.

Fall Fundraising Drive

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and a cornerstone of our mission is to create a space where participants can truly be working artists. This October, we are hoping to raise $10,000 to support our programming as a part of our second annual Fall Fundraising Drive. The drive ends on October 31st, culminating in a big bash on Halloween night at Hold Out Brewing. Donations help support the two major pillars of SAGE, our Studio Program and our Exhibition Program.

Our Programs

Our Studio Program currently supports 12 artists who live and work in the Austin area. Artists in our Studio Program create work in our studio space at east Austin's Canopy arts community with the guidance of practicing artist facilitators and all materials provided for them. Since moving into our current space, we have launched 15 shows in our gallery through our Exhibition Program. Our gallery allows us not only the opportunity to show and sell work by artists on our roster, but also to highlight the amazing voices of artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities from across the county.

Become a Sustaining Donor

Sustaining donors are a crucial part of the work that SAGE does. Giving we can count on allows us to better plan for our year–including how many scholarships we can offer to new Studio Artists and if we can cover the cost of artists traveling to out-of-state exhibitions like the Outsider Art Fair in New York City. Our four levels of giving each come with membership perks, including discounts and early access to exhibitions and limited-edition merchandise. And for our Fall Fundraising Drive, every new member donating $10 a month or more will receive a tote bag designed by SAGE artist Yesenia Duran. These bags are not yet available for purchase so join today for your chance to snag one!

Help us fill our artists' bags by making a donation this October! Your contribution–whether one time or ongoing–makes our programs possible and helps our amazing artists achieve new heights in their blossoming careers!

SAGE Studio & Gallery is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and contributions are tax-deductible. Our EIN is 85-3041860.
