Funds for Founders (2024-25)
Welcome, from the Archers Council! We are a volunteer non-profit organization led by parents, with the goal of helping Founders’ faculty attain their mission: train the minds and improve the hearts of young men and women through a rigorous, classical education in the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in good character and civic virtue.
Our Goal: This year we're aiming to raise $125,000 through the Funds for Founders (F4F) campaign. To provide stability and consistency from year to year, Archers Council has a policy that guides investments. As the chart below shows, we invest F4F donations in three steps:
- First, in gratitude for the faculty's and staff's care for our children, we disburse $42,000 as a nearly $600 gift to each teacher and staff member just before Christmas break.
- Second, we disburse $58,000 to Archers Council committees, whose accomplishments and priorities are described below.
- Third, we invest any additional donations in the Capital & Opportunity Reserve (COR) Fund, which supports large multi-year projects including campus beautification, faculty professional development, and instructional supplements.
A Track Record of Success: Archers Council committees have paid for the following to make Founders a joyful place to teach and learn: two shade structures over the playground and seating area; cafeteria tables; new gym scoreboards; outdoor lunch tables; supplemental curriculum and teaching supplies; equipment for orchestra, theater, and art; athlete recognition banquets; library desks and chairs; curtains and a sound system in the cafeteria; monthly teacher appreciation events; an annual Fall Fest; a 9-square set; playground balls; movie nights; sports streaming equipment with a sports engagement website; Valentines dances; basketball hoops; and a mini-amphitheater in Sherwood Forest for outdoor classes or Shakespeare productions. Finally, our first COR Fund project - a playground shade structure - was completed summer 2024! Your generosity makes all of this possible.
100% of your F4F donation stays at FCA Leander and benefits our school community. This year, our top priorities include: teacher support & training; new grammar school library shelves; orchestra, music, art, and theater materials; campus events; and gym improvements, including sound panel coverings, updated banners, and lighting; and the Senior class gift.
We are Grateful: The Funds 4 Founders campaign will peak from Friday, October 18th to Friday, November 1st, but donations are accepted at any time. You can make one-time or recurring contributions. We recommend that each family donate $400 per student or $40 per month of the school year. Some families will give more while others will reach deep and give what they can. Regardless of how much you give, we are grateful for your support of a classical education which instills in our children a love of the true, good, and beautiful.
