I’m pleased to share that I’ve taken on the role of UK Faith Lead at Donorbox. Donorbox is a globally trusted fundraising platform, supporting over 100,000 organisations, including hundreds of Mosques, Muslim charities and community organisations worldwide. At a time when our sector is evolving, this role is focused on something simple but important: Supporting faith-based organisations to grow in a more sustainable, thoughtful, and effective way. Over the past few years, we’ve seen a clear shift: • Giving is becoming more digital • Donors are more intentional • And organisations are thinking beyond short-term campaigns The opportunity now is to build stronger systems, better donor experiences, and long-term relationships that sustain impact. What makes this role particularly meaningful is the focus on the UK. Donorbox already supports many organisations in our space and is now taking a more intentional step to support and partner more closely with our community here. Our first ever Eid Reception East London Mosque & London Muslim Centre, in London was a small but powerful reflection of this. Bringing together over 20 leaders from masjids, charities, and community organisations—there was a clear openness to collaborate, share, and build together. I am grateful for all those who attended and look forwards to continuing yeh dialogue with you in the coming weeks and months. I’m grateful to Zain Luqman Miah and Raviraj Hegde for their support, and I’m looking forward to what lies ahead, insha’Allah.
