      We did it.

Voters voted in record numbers for a special election.

We beat back voter suppression in advance with Open Progress with more than 130k Alabama voters texted. On December 12th in partnership with OPro, LLC, and The Collective PAC, we texted more than 40,000 voters in precincts we knew were experiencing problems - and got people back in line to cast their ballots.

We did it with 1500 volunteers enabling the highest level of engagement for the lowest cost.

Help us do more in 2018.

      Give today.

Important Campaign update:  Because Voter Suppression is real.

Alongside the NAACP, we've even gotten into a spat with the Alabama Secretary of State about trying to help people vote.  We've clearly helped people who would otherwise have had a very nasty surprise when they went to the polls on Dec 12th.

Please consider giving generously so that we can continue to be fierce advocates for great causes using modern, cost-effective methods in Alabama and beyond.

      Our current focus: Alabama

With your help we've reached out to more than 130,000 people via text messaging and social media who were marked as inactive voters by the Alabama Secretary of State's office.  In addition, we've begun to turn out the vote and persuade undecideds with more than 180,000 text messages sent so far in just under 50 hours.

We're reaching out to people in Alabama to make sure they are registered to vote in time for the special election on December 12th 2017.

Separately through Opro,LLC (Not funded by this campaign in any way)

We are working side-by-side with more than 25 African-American civic leaders and The Collective SuperPAC to make sure that we reach out to the entire African-American voting population in partnership with a trusted, credible, and authentic voice: that of someone in their local community.  To our knowledge, nothing like this has ever been done.  It's truly texting as conversation to engage and persuade human-to-human, not broadcast messaging that does nothing more than fall flat on your phone.

      What is Open Progress?

Open Progress  seeks to support incredible progressive organizations and causes by using cost-effective outreach approaches and doing more with less. This opens up opportunities for people who aren't rich or powerful to be involved in government, and makes our elected officials less beholden to big donors and, therefore, less corrupt.

We live our values as a not for profit 501c(4). Your contributions and gifts to Open Progress make an enormous difference, but are not tax deductible.
