Goal

Each year, at least 84,000 people are booked into a Mississippi county jail and 29,000 people are currently housed at a Mississippi Department of Corrections facility. At least 43% of those currently incarcerated will be released within the next 5 years. With limited reentry organizations across the state, we know from experience how important having access to reentry services is.

Not having access to reentry services upon release, a justice-involved individual will least likely become a productive member of society and is vulnerable to an increased risk of returning to a lifestyle that previously landed them into the justice system.

2022 marks Mississippi Center for Re-Entry's 5th anniversary. During the year, we will reflect on the many lives we have touched and the countless partnerships and volunteers we've engaged and inspired. With limited funding in the State of Mississippi for reentry services, Mississippi Center for Re-Entry's work depends on the generous donations of individuals and foundations.

Thank you for your support! We are actively seeking meetings with individuals and foundations interested in funding our work. For specific questions please email cynetra@msreentry.org.

Your donations help keep our doors open, our phones and electricity turned on and our printer printing while we work to educate your incarcerated loved ones and their family members on what it takes to become suitable for - and achieve - parole, and to reintegrate into a changing society. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, listed with and in good standing with both the IRS and Mississippi Registry of Charitable Trusts. EIN #81-5399091. All donations are deemed tax-deductible absent any limitations on deductibility applicable to a particular taxpayer. No goods or services were provided in exchange for your contribution.
