Let's Learn Dari and Empower Newcomer Communities!
Join United Voices for Newcomer Rights (UVNR) for a one-session introductory Dari language class led by our Afghan Community Advocate, Tasawer Yosufzai, alongside Afghan newcomer community members serving as volunteer teachers. Participants will learn basic Dari words and everyday phrases, explore Afghan culture, and connect with Dari-speaking communities. No prior Dari experience is needed!More Than a Language Class

This class creates opportunities for Afghan newcomers to share their language and cultural expertise as teachers and community leaders. By recognizing newcomers not only as recipients of services but also as educators and contributors, we hope to build stronger connections across cultures while celebrating the strengths of our newcomer communities.What You'll Learn
Basic Dari greetings and introductions, common everyday words and phrases, Afghan culture and traditions, and insights shared directly by Afghan community members!Registration is donation-based, and contributions of any amount are appreciated!
