Imagine being a child who has had to leave home.

Not because of anything you did, but because

the adults who were supposed to keep you safe could not.

Imagine starting over in a new house,

with new rules and new faces, and wondering

whether anyone will still be there tomorrow.

For the foster children in our community,

this is not imagined. It is their life.

These children do not need our pity. They need us to show up.

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, The Injury Law Guides and the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association will host an Oktoberfest fundraiser at 717 West Ashby Place, San Antonio, Texas 78212, benefiting foster children through the PEARLS Foundation.

There will be music, German food, games, and a live auction. But the real reason we are gathering is the children. 

Thank you for showing up for these children.


ABOUT THE PEARLS FOUNDATION

The PEARLS Foundation supports PEARLS Court and EAGLES Court in Bexar County, therapeutic court programs for teens in foster care. Through mentoring, therapy, life skills, and college preparation, these programs help young people build a future as they prepare for life after foster care.

With gratitude to the judges who founded and continue to support these programs:

  • Judge Rosie Alvarado, 438th Civil District Court

  • Associate Judge Raul Perales, Bexar County Children’s Court

The judges are recognized here solely for their service to these programs. No judge is soliciting contributions for this event.

Judges and children attend free.

Tickets are for law firms and their guests. Vendors and service providers who market to personal injury law firms must purchase a sponsorship to attend. If a ticket is purchased by one of these businesses instead of a sponsorship, the ticket will be refunded and admission will be denied.
