2026 Rail Trail & Ale 5K
🎃 A Halloween Season Run & Walk 🍺
Join us on Saturday, October 17th, 2026, for the Rail Trail & Ale 5K, starting and finishing at the Calkins Property, 1321 U.S. Route 2, Danville, VT, right alongside the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail!
🏃♀️ RUN IT. WALK IT. JUST COME HAVE FUN! The 5K kicks off at 11:00 AM and takes participants along the beautiful Lamoille Valley Rail Trail during one of the best times of year to be outside in Vermont.
🎃 COSTUMES ENCOURAGED!
It’s Halloween season, so have some fun with it! Costumes are encouraged (but not required), and we’ll have prizes for the best costumes.
🍺 ALE + LUNCH AFTER THE 5K!
When you cross the finish line, the fun isn’t over! Stick around at the Calkins Property for lunch and an ale, with the ale provided and served by The Pizza Man of Lyndonville! Non-alcoholic options will also be available.

Your registration supports NEKCAN and our mission to provide direct financial assistance to people throughout the Northeast Kingdom who are actively undergoing cancer treatment.
Registration Fee: $25 per person
- Registration Opens: 9:30 AM
- 5K Starts: 11:00 AM
- Lunch after the 5K
