A Patipemba & Spiritual Symbols Workshop with Tata Rompe Pecho
What if the symbols you've been looking at aren't simply drawings? Throughout spiritual traditions around the world, people have used signs, symbols, glyphs, seals, and sacred markings to represent ideas, forces, spirits, intentions, and spiritual relationships. In Palo Mayombe, these markings are known as Patipembas or Firmas. But there is far more to these symbols than lines drawn on the ground. A Patipemba can carry meaning, communicate intention, identify spiritual forces, and form part of a larger ritual language. Within Palo, their interpretation and use can vary according to lineage, house, purpose, and spiritual context. And now, Tata Rompe Pecho is opening the door to a subject that is rarely explained to the public in a structured way.
In this special workshop, you'll explore:
The History Where did spiritual sigils and sacred markings come from? We'll examine the history and development of symbolic spiritual language and explore how different traditions came to use visual signs as part of their practices. The Basics Learn how to begin looking at these symbols with greater understanding rather than simply seeing lines, circles, crosses, arrows, and shapes. The Meaning Why do certain forms appear repeatedly? What can lines, directions, shapes, and arrangements communicate? And why can the same-looking symbol mean something very different depending on the tradition or context? Who Can Use Them? This is one of the most important questions and one of the most misunderstood. We'll discuss who can legitimately work with different types of spiritual symbols, what belongs to public knowledge, and where lineage, initiation, authority, and spiritual responsibility become important considerations.
And Then Comes the Part Everyone Will Be Talking About...
Tata Rompe Pecho will share TWO special sigils with the public. But there's a catch. We're not telling you what they're for. Their purpose will be revealed during the workshop. You'll have to be there to discover what these two special symbols represent and why they were chosen to be shared publicly. This isn't simply a class about drawing mysterious symbols. It's an opportunity to learn how to look at spiritual symbols differently to understand that what appears simple on the surface may contain an entire system of meaning underneath. If you've ever seen a Patipemba, Firma, sigil, or spiritual glyph and thought: "What does that actually mean?" This workshop was made for you. Come learn directly from Tata Rompe Pecho, explore the history and foundations of spiritual symbolic language, and discover two special sigils whose purpose will remain a mystery until the workshop.
Don't just look at the symbols. Learn to understand them.
