Cougars routinely swim from 0.6 miles (1 kilometer) up to 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) through cold ocean waters to reach islands where the deer are easier to hunt. Pronghorn can run 55 mph with more stamina than any other animal alive. They picked up that speed running from an American cheetah that went extinct a long time ago, and never lost it.
Join us for a 1.5 hour look into the hidden lives of the mammals sharing the Black Hills and other parts of North America with us. We'll explore what these animals are actually doing out there, backed by slides and video, and you'll leave with a few stories you didn't have before.
