Annual Autism Walk benefiting CIAA

Join us for our Annual Autism Walk! Our favorite and largest event of the year will be a 1-mile walk, informational fair, food, kids zone, and good times with our Peoria area community. The walk is in coordination with Central Illinois Autism Association (CIAA), Peoria Public Schools, and Peoria Police Department. Fundraising from this event helps us provide grants and sensory events.

CIAA mission: to provide small but meaningful grants to families, therapists, teachers, and individuals with autism in the Central Illinois area. These grants help make each individual as independent and successful as they can be along with supporting their employers, family members, and friends. 
  • Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
  • Time: 8:00AM to 10:30AM; Walk begins at 8:30AM
  • Location: Peoria Stadium, 315 E War Memorial Dr, Peoria, IL 61614
  • Walk: 1 Mile walk on the stadium track (or inside the dome if inclement weather). Children under 3 are welcome to attend and do not need a ticket.
  • Kid Zone: area with a collaborative art project (art project with supplies), sensory table(s) & autism friendly swag (i.e. fidgets, etc.)
  • Peoria Police Department: visit with first responders and tour the Co-Response van.
  • Information Fair: Vendors on-site sharing resources for families & community members to expand access to support programs.
  • Food: Food trucks on site to fuel up after your walk. Featuring: Loaded Potatoes To Go, Kona Ice & Soda Lab
