This concert marks a thrilling new chapter for music in our community. We launch our grand 85th season with a ribbon cutting. Be there when we unveil the beautifully renovated and newly accessible Music Hall, located on the campus of UW-Oshkosh.

As OSO’s 85-year legacy connects us to Oshkosh’s vibrant past, our concert hall has been rebuilt, creating a new dedicated space for us to gather and listen to great music, connecting us for generations to come. Concert spaces craft more than just excellent acoustics, they frame our shared experience. Hear fantastic music in a newly redesigned space crafted just for you.

We ignite the festivities with Ludwig van Beethoven’s joyous Name Day Overture, which offers us a celebratory tone, perfect for the debut of our new home. The spotlight then turns to the rich sonorities of featured soloist, violist MATTHEW MICHELIC. He will perform Georg Philipp Telemann’s lively Concerto for Viola in G major and Max Bruch’s deeply expressive Romance. The second half of the concert we pull out all the stops to showcase the hall's brilliant new acoustics with Modest Mussorgsky’s monumental Pictures at an Exhibition as arranged by the greatest musical painter, Maurice Ravel—music that transforms a friend’s artwork into the most gorgeous orchestral sound.
