Comprising 18 of the region's most versatile musicians, including vocals by Cynthia Dunbar, this ensemble breathes new life into the big band tradition. From sultry vocals like Ella Fitzgerald, screaming trumpet high notes to the deep, rhythmic pocket of the soul-stirring rhythm section, The Peninsulans Jazz Orchestra delivers a high-octane performance drawing inspiration from the legendary orchestras of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Gordon Goodwin, and Tom Kubis that spans from the Golden Age of Swing to cutting-edge modern compositions.
