Join Be Free KC for guided breathwork at BLUSH Boot Camp in Prairie Village — an experience designed to slow you down, open you up, and introduce you to the people and mission behind one of Kansas City's most impactful recovery housing programs.
Led by Ron Hill, Board Chair of Be Free KC and a certified breathwork and wellness coach, this 90-minute session will guide you through functional and recovery breathing techniques you can carry into your everyday life. You'll learn why 90% of us breathe incorrectly, how breath shapes our mood and our health, and how a few simple practices can change how you show up in the world.
But this isn't just a breathwork class.
You'll be sitting alongside residents from our Be Free KC recovery homes — men & women who are rebuilding their lives in our Level II Sober Living houses across the KC metro. Through shared breath and open conversation, you'll hear their stories firsthand. You'll see what recovery looks like up close. And you'll experience the kind of connection that makes our community work.
Why we're doing this
Be Free KC is kicking off our "Home Starts Here" campaign — a two-year effort to raise $500,000 and open at least four new recovery homes across Kansas City. Our houses are at full capacity, and the need keeps growing. Every ticket and every donation from this event goes directly toward opening the next home.

What to Bring / Know Before You Come
- Wear comfortable clothing you can move and lie down in
- A yoga mat or towel
- An open mind and an empty stomach — light snacks earlier in the day are fine, but avoid a heavy meal in the hour before
- Notebook for journaling and / or workbook (workbook will be emailed out 3 days prior to the event)
- Water bottle
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle in
