Toutant Beauregard Family: Pioneers & Patriots
While Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard is well known to multitudes, his ancestors in Louisiana remain obscure. Their services to Louisiana as pioneer businessmen, colonial officials and patriots will be discussed in this presentation. St. Bernard Parish Historian Bill Hyland will share the story of PGT’s father, Jacques Beauregard, who served at the Battle of New Orleans, and the Louisiana service of other family members as pioneer businessmen, colonial officials, patriots and Soldiers.
