Presentation on Frenchie

Historian Jason P. Theriot has a few WWII stories to share. More than twenty-five years ago, while conducting oral history interviews with Louisiana’s World War II veterans, a remarkable lineage of the Louisiana National Guard began to take shape. In November 1940, the Guard was federalized, and young Cajun soldiers from the bayou country entered active service.
