Join local basketmaking legend Ann McGinity to create a small vessel with wire, reed, cloth, and other recycled materials. We will use wire and reed to set up a form, and enhance it by adding fabric, beads, paint, and stray odds and ends for both decorative and functional use.
Using primarily recycled objects and fabric on the base form will keep them out of the landfill and add to practical and decorative use.
Ann will provide a selection of reed, wire, found objects, beads, fabric, and buttons. Feel free to bring personal objects that you would like to incorporate.
Ann will be joined by local artist Deb Prost, who will provide an additional artistic perspective and instruction.
