A Mass for Peace: Sunday Spring Concert 2026

The 80-voice Bagaduce Chorale and the full GEM Orchestra, under the direction of Bronwyn Kortge present Sir Karl Jenkins’ epic work “The Amed Man: A Mass for Peace.”  Notable and celebrated for its accessible melodies, its rich blend of musical genres and its powerful storytelling, the Mass chronicles the descent into war, the horror of conflict and the aftermath of aggression.
This will be a multimedia performance with the “Armed Man Film,” a work commissioned by Sir Karl, running simultaneously with the choral performance. And it will be the first time the work is performed with the film in the State of Maine. We are proud to bring this multimedia event to our Downeast audience!
