Come out for an entertaining day at the beach, where the community will join together to have lots of fun and honor the legacy of Caleb Bell. All proceeds will be used to send new missionaries out to spread the love of Jesus.
Shaka Gnar 2026 will bring together members of our community for a day of fun-filled activities, including skim, skate, art, beach runs, a paddle board relay and a sand sculpture competition. The event will not only promote community engagement and unity but also provide invaluable support for Caleb Would Go and honor the legacy of Caleb Bell. All six events are set up for all ages and all levels of experience.

Teams of 4 will relay race on a provided paddle board around the buoy and back to the beach. The fastest team wins - BUT wait there’s a catch, each team will draw a theme from a hat and use the provided costumes and props to make the relay more challenging and hilarious! The four themes competing against each other will be Pirates vs Tacky Tourist vs Vikings vs The Deadliest Catch. Who will come out on top and win the big prize????
Are you an artist with a passion for bringing color and life to the world around you? Join us in the mural contest as an individual or a team and share your design. It will be an exciting competition for all ages that will challenge your creativity and skills. Come create with us! A picture says a thousand words. This event will go on all day with the best and most creative design taking home the top prize. (We will provide the medium but it is suggested to bring your own tools and materials as supplies will be limited)
The beach run is going to look a little different this year, who is the fastest on the beach?! That’s right we are sprinting this year, for a flag! The open run event this year will be beach flags - Imagine a musical chair type elimination game. Runners will be placed in a group, and sprint approximately 50ft towards a set of flags. Grab a flag, you move onto the next round. There will be categories men and women of all ages. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each category.
All ages and all skill levels should slide into this one. This event will be great for the groms all the way to the pros with lots of prizes for biggest air, best trick, longest ride, and more.
Ever wanted to skate on the beach???? Come roll on our inflatable ramp being delivered by 180 Skate. We welcome all ages and skill levels with a beginner, Intermediate, and advanced division. This is a best trick contest with only your highest trick being scored and unlimited attempts. The skater having the most fun wins. Prizes for winners in each category.
There are few things that are as exciting as watching an artist at work! Come put your skills on display while you transform our beautiful beach sand into a masterpiece during our sandcastle building contest! Competitors will be judged on creativity, uniqueness and style. Winners will not only receive mad street cred, but a sanding ovation as well! Sign up as an individual or a team. This event will go on all day (3:30pm - 6:30pm) with the best and most creative design taking home the top prize. (It is suggested to bring your own tools as supplies will be limited)
