EBLRLA Judicial Excellence and Scholarship Gala, October 9, 2026

This year’s Gala will be an amazing event you will not want to miss. We will have mariachis to start the evening during cocktail hour, followed by our program of speakers and award winners. It is my honor to announce that this year’s keynote speaker will be California Judicial Appointments Secretary Luis Céspedes. 

I am honored to announce that this year we will be presenting the Honorable Judge Lupe Garcia with the 2026 EBLRLA Judicial Excellence Award for her exemplary service to Alameda County. Our 2026 EBLRLA Community Champion recipient will be Hijas del Campo, an organization assisting the East Bay community from food security, to health and safety initiatives, to helping people navigate these difficult times with immigration issues.

And of course, we will announce and celebrate the 2026 EBLRLA Scholarship recipients. These scholarships are of immense value to these students and paving the way for the next generation of Latinx attorneys that will carry on representing and fighting for our community in the future. The Biannual Gala is our primary fundraising event for these annual scholarships and so I am calling on our membership’s vast network- if you have contacts with any businesses that you think might be interested in sponsoring our Gala and future events please contact any one of our board of directors with the business’ point of contact and we will take care of the rest.
