Geospatial Analysis for Human Rights and Criminal Investigations

Workshop Description
This online workshop aims to equip participants with the ability to conduct basic to intermediate-level geospatial analysis for investigations using open source tools. At the end of the training, attendees will understand the importance of getting to know the geography and environment of a country, how satellites work, how satellite imagery is created and processed, how to interpret satellite imagery, and what tools are available. *This training will NOT include instruction on ArcGIS or QGIS.

Instructor
Jenna Dolecek
Jenna is the Head of the Crimes Against Children Unit at OSINT For Ukraine. She’s also an Open Source Investigation and Geospatial Analysis Expert with Justice Rapid Response and an OSINT Manager with Global Weekly. She was previously with the United Nations and the Centre for Information Resilience. She holds an LLM in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from the University of Essex.
