Women’s History Bus Tour of Houston
Hosted by the League of Women Voters of Houston
Guided by Mister McKinney
Join us for a one-of-a-kind Women’s History Month experience as we explore Houston through the stories of the women who shaped it.
Led by Houston historian and storyteller Mister McKinney, this guided bus tour will spotlight the trailblazers, organizers, artists, elected officials, and everyday leaders whose work transformed our city and strengthened our democracy.
We’ll gather at Saint Arnold Brewing Company before departing in rotating groups of approximately 20 guests. While you wait for your group’s tour time, enjoy drinks and light bites and connect with fellow League members and friends. The experience is designed to be relaxed, engaging, and community centered.
Tour highlights will include:
• Historic sites connected to Houston’s suffrage movement
• Stories of women who led in civic reform, education, and public service
• Moments of resilience, advocacy, and local leadership that continue to shape our city today
Whether you are a longtime Houstonian or new to the city, you will leave with a deeper understanding of how women’s leadership has influenced our local government and civic life.
Space is limited. Advance registration required.
