Dad’s & Lads Iftar — Building Mentally Strong Muslims
Join As-Salaam Foundation in collaboration with Muslim Youth Helpline for a powerful and meaningful evening dedicated to strengthening families, supporting our young people, and helping save lives.
Across the UK, too many young Muslims are silently battling mental health challenges. Studies have shown alarming levels of distress among young Muslims, with many experiencing bullying, Islamophobia, isolation, and barriers to accessing culturally sensitive support services. Every call answered by MYH could be a moment that prevents a young person from reaching crisis point — even saving a life.
The Dad’s & Lads Iftar brings fathers and young people together to learn, connect, and take practical steps towards building mentally strong families and communities.
The evening will include:
• A delicious three-course Iftar meal shared in brotherhood and reflection
• Qur’an recitation and heartfelt du‘as
• A practical workshop delivered by trained MYH representatives, focusing on how fathers can better support their children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing
• Insight into the urgent work of MYH and how together we can keep their vital helpline open
Demand for MYH’s services has never been greater, with over 15,000 calls received in 2025 alone. Without urgent support, this free, confidential lifeline for young Muslims is at risk. Every donation helps ensure that when a young person reaches out for help, someone is there to answer.
Come together this Ramadan to break fast, strengthen bonds with your sons, and be part of a movement that protects the wellbeing of the next generation.
Your presence can help keep the helpline open — because no young Muslim should suffer alone.
