                                                                                                                                             Tango de Nácar is a quintet born from the collaboration of five of the most outstanding musicians in today’s tango scene.

Far beyond a traditional quintet, this ensemble represents a convergence of legacies: decades of experience, personal styles, and musical philosophies woven together to create something deeply new. 

Like nacre, formed layer by layer over time, Tango de Nácar is a sonic reflection of tango’s history and its ongoing evolution.

Drawing inspiration from the great masters of all times — Pugliese, Piazzolla, Troilo, Gobbi, Salgán, among others — and reimagining their works through original arrangements, the group explores the boundaries of tango and lets them dissolve naturally into other contemporary musical languages.

The result is not a rupture, but a deepening: a dialogue between eras, styles, and identities.

Tango de Nácar is more than a concert. It is a luminous offering: a tribute to the soul of tango, reimagined by those who carry it in their blood.
