🌿 Sunday, April 12th at 2pm: Walking Tour & Talk with Dr. Kate Farley Meet the trees of Lafayette Park!  Join Missouri Botanical Garden scientist (and Lafayette Square resident) Kate Farley for a springtime walk around Lafayette Park. You'll learn how to identify some of the most common tree species we have in the Park, and will learn some interesting facts about their ecology and traditional uses. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather!
Kate Farley is an ethnobotanist with the William L. Brown Center for Economic Botany at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Her research focuses on the role of plants in human cultures around the world, and has done research in Madagascar, Indonesia, and here in the United States. Kate has a PhD in cultural anthropology from WashU and has lived in Lafayette Square since 2004.
