Unreconciled is based on the true story of an adolescent actor cast as Jesus in a school play directed by a parish priest. Set in a working class suburb of Philadelphia, this solo-show chronicles a survivor’s journey as he confronts his past, navigates a victims’ reparations program set up by the Catholic Church, and discovers the courage to use his voice. This 80-minute piece is a poignant and at times humorous exploration of family, place, and the meaning of reconciliation.
80 minutes with no intermission. Post-show discussion to follow with Pennsylvania State Representative Nate Davidson and CHILD USA Founder Marci Hamilton.
This performance of Unreconciled is free. All donations benefit the Unreconciled Project, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to empower survivors of childhood sexual abuse to reclaim their voices through the art of storytelling.
