MLK Day Pack-A-Thon – A Day of Service

Each year, our MLK Day Pack-A-Thon brings volunteers together to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through service by packing nutritious meals for families facing food insecurity.

Once again this year’s Pack-A-Thon is a multi-day effort, kicking off on Friday with several off-site sponsored meal packing events and culminating on Monday at our warehouse with two final packing shifts.

All meals packed during the Pack-A-Thon will be distributed to local community food pantries, helping ensure families in our community have access to nourishing food.

Morning Shift | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Full private event

Afternoon Shift | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

This Pack-A-Thon shift is open to the public. Registration is required, and space is limited.

Why There Is a Registration Fee

Each Pack-A-Thon event requires us to purchase all ingredients used to assemble the meals. On average, each volunteer packs approximately $150 worth of food, while the $25 registration fee covers only a portion of that cost.

Our year-round fundraising efforts help offset the remaining expense, allowing us to host impactful service opportunities while ensuring meals reach local community food pantries.
