This workshop equips young leaders with the tools to protect their mental, emotional, and physical well-being while engaging in justice work. Learn to lead with strength and sustainability. Topics include:
Self-Care & Mindfulness: Building a personalized wellness plan and daily check-in practices.
Boundary Setting: Understanding consent, personal limits, and how to de-escalate tense situations.
Emotional Health: Recognizing signs of burnout, toxic dynamics, and navigating activism-related stress.
Community Safety: Identifying safe spaces, accessing transportation, and knowing your local support resources.
Digital Safety: Handling online harassment, maintaining privacy, and using secure communication channels.
Legal Literacy: Know your rights under Title IX, access to reproductive care, and other youth protections in North Carolina and beyond.
By the end of this session, young leaders will be equipped with strategies and support systems to stay healthy, safe, and empowered in their advocacy work.
