Bringing Joy, Hope, and Smiles to Children All Year Long

💜 Our Story

What began in 2015 as a small classroom project has blossomed into something extraordinary. The McKenna’s Wishes Toy Drive started in my AP Psychology class with one simple goal: to brighten a child’s day with a single toy or stuffed animal.

That first year, we collected 1,500 toys. Today—thanks to the incredible generosity of our community—we’ve donated over 55,000 toys and nearly $15,000 in just ten years to the Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital and Nationwide Children’s Toledo.

This drive isn’t just about the holidays—it’s about bringing light and comfort to children all year long. Every toy matters. Every smile matters. Every act of kindness counts.

❤️ Who We Support

Every child—from newborns to 18 years old—who is admitted, undergoing scans or testing, or visiting the emergency room receives a toy.

These toys are more than gifts.

They are moments of joy in hospital rooms, symbols of courage before difficult procedures, and reminders of hope for families facing uncertainty.

Your support helps keep the hospitals’ “Treasure Chests” full year-round, ensuring no child goes without a reason to smile.
