My People Thanks

This year marks the 20th anniversary of My People Thanks, and we’re inviting you to come back home.

What began in 2006 as a small Thanksgiving meal for youth in our Community Housing Assistance Program (CHAP) has grown into a powerful community tradition — one rooted in love, gratitude, and belonging. Many of those young people faced the holidays without family, and My People stepped in to make sure they still had a place at the table.

Now, two decades later, My People Thanks has become a heartwarming homecoming for our staff, their families, our clients, and everyone who’s been part of the journey. It’s more than a meal — it’s a moment to reconnect, reflect, and celebrate the legacy we've built together.

This year, we’ll also take time to honor employees who have been with us for over 10 years, as well as individuals who have supported our mission throughout the years.

We’re excited to welcome Matthew Rivera as this year’s keynote speaker. His words will help us set the tone for an evening of reflection, connection, and inspiration.
