About Write to Be
Founded in 2015, Write to Be began as a penpal program to mentor Haitian girls through empowering letters. Through this simple yet powerful exchange, our founders recognized that mentorship and positive relationships could help inspire the next generation of Haitian girls to write their own stories. Over a decade later, Write to Be has blossomed into a curriculum-forward after school program and community-based support initiative helping girls to build skills to thrive.
