Join one of our senior volunteers for a 2-hour ramble in one of Point Reyes National Seashore’s most beautiful waterways, Drake’s Beach
Walk Details: Mostly flat walk from the parking lot (with real toilets – not porta potties!) down the sandy beach, keeping our eyes open for otters, coyote, whales, dolphins, raptors, and shorebirds. There’s an optional short uphill for a great view onto the beach, ocean and the lagoon, where we often see river otters. No need for wellies; you won’t get wet. We’ll talk otters and other critters, conservation and why it matters, and why otters are more than the cute, fuzzy, wriggly animals we all love to see.
Bring: binoculars if you have them, water, snack, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat.
