Libby is a defiant, chanting poet like Tom Waits and Rickie Lee Jones; She’s more like a zany sandbox friend who sings what she dreams and daydreams.
She’s an avant garde force right from set kickoff — a soaring, looping comet. Her streaming lyrics flame and smoke and twist and tail and even shrug if they feel like it.
Dave Richardson is an observer. With his warm, expressive voice and his acoustic guitar, he invites listeners to experience snippets of life through his songs: a fragment of overheard conversation, the recollection of a feeling, a snapshot of an event.
Dave grew up listening to ‘60s pop and classic rock, and his love of a catchy melody can be easily heard in his music. His musical influences include the thoughtful reflection of modern singer/songwriters like Neko Case and Caitlin Canty along with song collectors and re-interpreters like Jean Ritchie and Martin Carthy. Dave’s songs reflect a unique point of view steeped in folk traditions and infused with an undeniably modern lyrical and musical sensibility.
“live it up, while we can” Andy Wyatt is an optimistic pollyanna but also a cold-war kid, growing up in the 70s and early 80s in fear of nuclear war and therefore adopting a carefree YOLO attitude. Common themes in his songs contrast the fear that everything is crumbling and burning down with the comfort, support, and love of a happy marriage and close family and friends. With rich chords and fingerpicking, lyrics that most anyone can relate to, melodies that get stuck in your head, and big sing-along choruses, Andy’s songs leave audiences inspired and uplifted.
