Helix Harvest Moon Carnival & Fundraiser
Come relive your favorite fall festival memories at Helix's Harvest Moon Carnival! Tickets include carnival food, beer, wine, and games. All proceeds from this event will help support Helix's Professional Learning sessions for Chicago After School Program Providers. It has been a chaotic and challenging year for education, and after school programs have been hit especially hard. This year we have set a bold goal of raising $10,000 at this fundraiser. This will help us provide a full series of workshops to after school program providers across Chicago for the full 2025-2026 school year and summer.
After-School Programs serve a critical role in creating positive outcomes for K-12 students. However, staff and educators at these programs often feel under supported and overwhelmed by the plethora of challenges facing today’s students. Helix has partnered with Communities in Schools Chicago to offer free, high quality, and recurring professional development sessions to after school programs across the city. These sessions are free to attend, include resources for attendees to use beyond the training, and build staffing capacity at after school programs serving students all over Chicago.
The carnival will be a night of fun, socializing and community building in support of Helix's mission to provide transferable skill development to K-12 students through real world learning!
More details to come about vendors, games, and raffle items. The event will feature an open bar and is 21+. We are hosting at Second Unitarian Church in Lakeview at 656 W Barry Ave, Chicago. The Belmont L station is a short walk away, several buses serve this location and street parking is available on Clark or Broadway streets near the venue.
Early bird tickets are available from July 18th to sold out. Regular tickets are available until sell out or the day of the event. 80% of each ticket includes a direct donation to Helix Education, a registered 501C3 non profit organization..
