As the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) plans to commandeer Dayton, Ohio this May for the “2025 NATO Parliamentary Assembly”, we invite you to attend the “People’s Assembly for Peace and Justice,” to be held on Sunday, May 25.
Founded in 1949 by the United States, Canada and 10 European States, NATO has menaced the world since its inception. Never a “defensive” alliance against Soviet aggression, as was ludicrously claimed, NATO was always intended as an offensive, US-led coalition against socialist countries and the anti-colonial movements rising then in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
NATO and its members have brought nothing but death and destruction to its victims, including Yugoslavia, Libya, Afghanistan and Haiti. With NATO now continuing to escalate tensions in Ukraine and beyond, we must resist this unending drive for war.
