Fundraising on the Fairway
Join Total Excavating & Grading on Friday, September 26, at River Falls Golf Club, for Fundraising on the Fairway! Total Excavating is grateful to have been part of the River Falls community for 25+ years and wants to give back! As a way to do this, we have decided to select a local nonprofit to host an annual golf fundraiser for. This year, proceeds will be going to Peer Perspective, a nonprofit organization working to establish the first recovery-focused housing program in the St. Croix Valley area specifically for women and their children. Their mission is to provide a safe, stable, and supportive environment where families can heal together, access recovery resources, and build healthy, sustainable futures. Currently, they are raising funds and building partnerships to bring this vision to life, tackling barriers like transportation, housing, and community support. Their goal is to rent, purchase or build a recovery home in River Falls, WI that includes space for 7+ women and their children, plus one live in house manager. This would look like 2+ private parent/child suites, 2+ shared bedrooms, and shared community spaces for meetings, peer support and recovery work. Their hope is to create an uplifting, structured home built around sobriety, connection, education, and service. This organization is so crucial to our area because we are currently lacking dedicated housing for mothers in recovery, often forcing women to choose between treatment and keeping their children. This will also be more than just housing. Peer Perspective envisions a home filled with recovery programming, life skills training, parenting support, and peer community. Recovery-focused housing helps reduce relapse, promote reunification, and create lasting change-for individuals and the community as a whole.
